Audience Participation: (Wo)Man Crush
Ok, so it's Friday. It's been a long week at work, and I'm feeling a bit lazy, so you'll find another interesting male opinion here. The topic: The Man Crush. 'Course, it is a San Francisco newspaper (I jest). Also? If I wrote it, you'd have to replace the words "Eva Longoria" with "Angelina Jolie." But check it out.
Here's the audience participation part. Who do you have a same (or opposite if you're not-so-heterosexual) sex platonic crush on? I want to know. Fill me in.
If I had to pick one? I'd probably be right there with the author on Justin Timberlake, but that's just me. Your turn.

claire danes.
hands down, no contest, no question.
like, I'm actually planning on naming my daughter claire, if I someday find myself pregnant with a little girl and with a husband who will just go with it. claire cleona or cleona claire. yep.
i heart claire danes.
Will Arnett from Arrested Development, (better yet, his character Gob).
Dave Grohl & Val Kilmer are also up there.
INPY, of course. I don't think he'd have me, though; I don't play guitar.
Oh, and foxysavant? Call me. I've been in love with Claire Daines since My So-called Life and Romeo and Juliet.
I had a huge crush on Catherine Zeta Jones in the original Mask of Zorro so I set all standards from her
And Penelope Cruz in everything. She is so adorable.
And Sienna Miller doesn't always do it for me in life but in ALFIE I thought she was the most amazing thing. So pretty.
I also have a huge crush on Catherine Zeta Jones...exotically adorable. I have other woman crushes but most of them pale in comparison to Cath...;)
mine is angelina jolie.
Oh, there's a few.
Kate Moss is a goddess and can do no wrong in my eyes.
Mischa Barton is young and flawless. If I saw her, I'd probably try to slip a roofie in her drink.
Sienna Miller is one sexy bitch.
brad pitt from troy
Jude Law, not quite sure why.
He's dead now... by my man crush would have to be Richard Feynman. No other man could have a book in the science section of the book store / library that has a chapter on how to pick up women.
He is/was The Man.
(update: fixed typo)
Cate Blanchette.
In the interest of avoiding repetition, I'll go with Matt Damon in Rounders or Ed Norton in 25th Hour, though for the record, it's probably Brad Pitt in Fight Club, ha.
Definitely Reese Witherspoon.
Oh, and BB - yeah, even he doesn't usually look _that_ good, although generally speaking I'm a Clooney girl.
Andy - Nice pick. I have no kind of crush on him, but I can see how he'd be fun to drink beer with.
I'm with SWF41 — Cate Blanchette is sexy, smart and real.
I used to think Kim Basinger was the "It" girl, but then, you know, I got better.
But I still might want to take Ms. Jolie for a romp ...
My (wo)man crush is Drew Barrymore. I <3 her! She has a personality so similar to mine and she's a mega cutie. I wanna hang out with her. lol
Zoey Deschanel and Scarlett Johansson
hmmm... are there any geeks here other than me? Everyone listed here (other than Richard Feynman) is a hotty...
Silly people. :-P
Girl-crush for Gina Gershon for years -- ever seeing her in the movie "Bound", appropriately enough. I saw her in a restaurant recently, and couldn't look away... she's hot!
Then there's Salma Hayak and Catherine Zeta-Jones.
I have to add my ultimate girl crush...she is older now but hands down one of the sexiest, most beautiful woman ever:
Catherine Deneuve in her heyday aka 20-45 years old was spectacular and she is still hot now but back then she was something else...amazing.
Rachel Weisz. In the Mummy.
Someone told me I looked like her the other day. That was the best compliment EVER.
um... where are you? You're missed...
I'm w/pookie. (Though I kinda suspect that actually, _you're_ w/pookie.)
Laura Linney. She strikes me as being down to earth and intelligent, yet perhaps slightly dark and twisty, but more importantly: kind.
You got me stuck on Elisha Cuthbert as an ultimate crush, however, I would also have to say I'm h.o.h. for Sandra Oh. Her humor has been a fav of mine since Princess Diaries. Hmm... that's a great question, my friend.

Dear LMNt,
Each morning I wake up, grab a cup of coffee and a yogurt, sit down on the couch and begin to prep myself for the day. Preparation includes checking personal and work emails, but the fun part begins when I start reading my fav blogs. Sadly, my favorite blog has been out of commission for almost a month now, and I am officially going through withdrawal. The blog doctor confirmed this and said that if I don't start reading something witty and intelligent by a well-renowned blogger like yourself, I will never recover. While I don't want you to feel completely responsible for my recovery process, a post every now and then wouldn't hurt, would it?
Thank you ever so much for your consideration.
Respectfully,
Beth
